Learn a new meditation method that actually works! One attendee called the approach "Life changing" after just the first session and said "I've tried lots of meditations but none worked for me. This is so simple! Why hasn't anyone ever explained it to me this way before? I CAN meditate now!" Join us for a meditation method you'll never forget! Meditation has been practiced for thousands of years. It is recently regaining popularity because of the amazing benefits to your health and well-being. There are lots of classes and workshops for meditation available. Most only focus on your breath or being mindful/clearing your mind without giving you to tools to do so. For most of us, this seems an impossible task and we end up feeling that we are unable to meditate, leading to a feeling of failure. Answers From Within is a different, conscious approach to meditation. We help you learn to use meditation as a tool to coach and guide you through your life. We use breath work to help calm the parasympathetic (fight or flight/stress and anxiety) system. We teach you how to refocus on your breath to enter and remain in your meditation when distractions occur (which they usually do). We help you learn to examine the thoughts (inner messages) that you simply can't get rid of to discover what your inner or higher self is trying to tell you through a guided process of self-awareness, meditation and journaling. The series will meet each week on Thursday evenings. Each meeting will include some discussion, a guided meditation, journaling time and an optional group share. We ask all participants to bring a notebook or journal, pen or pencil and whatever will make you comfortable on the carpeted floor (mat, blanket, pillow, water, etc.) as well as an open mind. Workshop will be very casual so dress comfortably. Each session is $15, 4 for $48 ($12/session) or you can get the entire series for $200 ($10/session). Sessions will run approximately 60 minutes and will gradually expand in length for up to 2 hours to gain maximum benefit in the more advanced sessions. Series sessions: Week 1 - First Meditation: Intro to the simple meditative state Week 2 - Breathe: Breathing focus for meditating Week 3 - Feeling of Breath: Deepening the meditative state Week 4 - Connection: Grounding during meditation Week 5 - Focus: Regaining focus during meditation Week 6 - Thoughts : Learning to observe your thoughts Week 7 - Feelings : Learning to observe your feelings Week 8 - Good, Bad or Meh: Examination of feelings Week 9 - Yes, Next!: Acknowledging thoughts and feelings Week 10 - Anchoring: Grounding into thoughts and feelings Week 11 -I'm OK: Improving calm and peace in meditation Week 12 - Let It Be: Examination and Acceptance Week 13 - We ARE One: Connecting to All Week 14 - Peace: Achieving calm and peace easily Week 15 - All you need: Connecting to the Love around you Week 16 - BELIEVE!: Learning to build trust in your insights Week 17 - SEE!: Learning to gain clarity and focus in meditation Week 18 - I CAN!: Building your self confidence and confidence in your insights Week 19 - LIVE!: How to tap into the Joy inside of you Week 20 - THANK YOU!: How to gain appreciation and gratitude in your life We look forward to having you join us and experience a way of meditation that you really can do!
