I’m looking for a great loving mellow home for my sweet girl Roozy. She would likely do best in a home as an only dog, I think that would be the easiest transition for her. She could potentially do good with other dogs, but absolutely none smaller than her. She is 11-12 pounds, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. It will take her quite some time to adjust and be comfortable in a new home. I got her as an older pup, and I believe she wasn’t socialized properly at a young age. She is timid around new people… with some time and love, and consistency, she will come around and be the sweet girl that she is. I would really need anyone who is potentially interested in getting her, plan to give her time… a couple months or so to be comfortable and happy in her new home. She really is sweet, and funny, and playful once she gets to know you. And she loves love! Squishy plush toys are her favorite too. Shih Tzu’s are high maintenance to keep their coat (hair cuts every 4-6 weeks), and they are family oriented, companion pets, and couch potatoes. She is not an “outside” dog, nor will she be happy being left at home all day everyday, so ideally someone who can be home with her the majority of the time. There will be a transition, but she will certainly be a wonderful companion once she is settled. PLEASE RESEARCH THIS BREED TO SEE IF IT WOULD BE A GOOD FIT FOR YOUR LIFESTYLE. Shih Tzu’s are amazing and adaptive with many many different types of family dynamics and lifestyles; but that doesn’t necessarily mean they are for everyone.
