Very sweet and loving female plott hound mountain cur mix. Marion nc not spayed was born March 13 2021. She is an amazing girl. Would like a vet reference if possible. She is inside pet. She is crate trained and sleeps in it at night. Potty trained completely. She knows basic commands such as sit, lay down, and gimme paw. She is a fast learner and wants to be with you all the time. She loves car rides where she can hang her head out the window. OK now for the things she needs work on. She is a hound! She has hound tendencies such as her howling and getting into any food that's left laying around. She really only howls outside when she's ready to come inside when she's done using the bathroom. She stays with me while we're out in the yard but when I want her to go out for a while on her own she has a cable she goes on that can also be included. She doesn't stay on it longer than to potty and sun bathe so she doesn't have a dog house. She is perfect with my kids other than jumping up when excited which we've started the command down for so she is learning and doing much much better about. My biggest concern is that she will try to play with small animals and kills them. She also chases birds. We've had a hell of a time keeping her from the chickens. Like I said SHE IS A HOUND. Please understand hounds are their own thing. that's for sure. She is a very sweet old soul but as I am trying to make my living with my chickens it is stressing her out to the max now that we have expanded and added additional chickens. I just want her to be in a loving home where there are no guinea pigs or birds. She does good with cats that dont run but she will chase them if they do.
