Description

GREENWICH, CT — Aug. 9 is Primary Day, and there may be primary elections for one or both of the major parties in Greenwich, according to the Greenwich Registrars Office. Only voters registered with a party can vote in the corresponding primary. To check your voter registration status, you can check online here. To change your party affiliation, your address, or to register to vote, click on the "How to Register to Vote" link. May 9 is the deadline for an elector to change from one party to another and be eligible to vote in their new party's primary. If you are registered as an unaffiliated voter (not registered with any party) the deadline to affiliate with a party by mail is Aug. 4. Mail-in applications must be received by this date. The in-person deadline is Aug. 8 by noon. Online voter registration is available at here. For new voters registering by mail, the postmark must be on or before Aug. 4.
