UPPER MARLBORO, MD — Six Flags America announced that it will reopen on July 3, ending its coronavirus shutdown. Season-pass holders can enter the park earlier on the member-only preview days next Wednesday and Thursday. Six Flags has not yet announced when Hurricane Harbor, the home of the park's water attractions, will reopen. The park implemented several safety measures to try to prevent the spread of coronavirus. All guests must make a reservation before coming to the park. Making a reservation will take five to seven minutes, Six Flags says. The process will help guests familiarize themselves with the park's social distancing guidelines and pay for parking ahead of time. Six Flags' safety protocols say the reservation system will also help trace guest's potential contacts, if necessary, and control park attendance. Six Flags will require all guests and employees to wear masks while at the park, though there will be "Mask Break Zones." The park will also check the temperatures of guests and employees. Seating areas and lines will also follow social distancing guidelines, according to the plan. The park says it will limit the capacity of its indoor areas as well. Guests can make reservations here. We're bringing back the fun on July 3! Members and Season Pass Holders get a preview July 1-2. General Public July 3. Visit https://t.co/bONQJY9gEF for more info on how to make your reservation.
