PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Prince George's County homicide detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that took place Saturday in Capitol Heights, according to a police release. The victim is identified as Solomon Brown, 31, of no fixed address. Officers responded about 1:3o p.m., for a welfare check in the 800 block of Kayak Avenue. Arriving on the scene, officers found Brown outside suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene. PGPD detectives are working to determine the motive in the shooting and to identify suspects. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Homicide Unit at 301-516-2512.
