Press release from Woodridge Park District: Beginning April 18 through June 1, a large area of turf that is adjacent to the path will be fenced off for turf improvements at Castaldo Park. As a result of the heavy traffic and usage of the park and the compacted soil, the District will be aerating, seeding and fertilizing the turf to establish a healthy stand of grass. Park District staff asks that patrons stay off the fenced area to give the turf an opportunity to grow. The playground and volleyball court area will be available for use during the turf work.
