Description
BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — The shelter in Baltimore County is packed with animals hopeful they will find their forever homes before the holidays. To help them get there, Baltimore County Animal Services is waiving adoption fees until further notice.
"We have an abundance of cats, dogs, guinea pigs and rabbits waiting to meet YOU and get adopted," Baltimore County Animal Services said in a statement.
Among them are Kade, who is pictured and has been waiting to be adopted for months — she has been at Baltimore County's animal shelter since July 7.
Sage cat, below, has also been hoping someone wises up and takes her home too.
Part of the reason the shelter is waiving fees is that it took in 150 cats from a Middle River couple now charged with animal cruelty, according to WBAL, which reports some are on administrative hold due to their illness as a result. The shelter will continue waiving fees until it is at 75 percent capacity, the news station reported.
