Description

YWCA Tri-County Area invites the community to an open house at its Early Education Center to learn more about the programs available to children from 6 months through 6th grade. The open house will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 21, at 315 King St., Pottstown. The open house will provide tours of the Early Education Center, information about the program's educational approaches, information about center hours and policies, and options for enrollment. Parents will be able to meet classroom teachers and staff. Parents and their children are invited to enjoy the games, entertainment, and reptiles and animals from the Venom Institute. YW's Dignity Kitchen will provide food and refreshments. YW offers educational programming for infants and toddlers, Pre-K Counts, and preschool; after-school programming is available for school-age children through sixth grade. Pre-K Counts offers children ages 3-5 a quality academic and social education. All activities are tailored to suit the students' needs, and their progress is recorded and regularly reviewed by the instructors. Pre-K Counts provides a safe environment for children to adjust and prepare for kindergarten. Children enrolled before April 29 will be eligible for seven weeks of free summer camp through YW's Camp Adventures. Pre-K Counts is free for all income-qualified families. Registration is not required for the open house. The open house will follow CDC guidelines for mask wearing and social distancing. For more information about Pre-K Counts or other YW early education opportunities, please email [email protected] or call 610-948-0200 Ext. 2. YWCA Tri-County Area is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.
