PENNSYLVANIA — Lieutenant Governor John Fetterman appears to be well on his way to capturing the Democratic U.S. Senate nomination, according to a poll released Thursday by Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster. Fetterman, the former mayor of the small town of Braddock near Pittsburgh, leads U.S. Rep. Conor Lamb by 41 to 17 percent. However, that doesn't guarantee victor in the May 17 primary, as 26 percent of poll respondents remain undecided and nearly half of those who have a preference indicated they could change their mind about their choice. The poll shows Republican Senate candidates Dr. Mehmet Oz and David McCormick in a virtual dead heat with Oz leading with 16 percent and McCormick with 15 percent. But 43 percent of GOP respondents say they have yet to make up their minds on any candidate. The survey nearly was finished when former President Donald Trump endorsed Oz in the Senate race. The Senate seat up for grabs is being vacated by Republican Pat Toomey. See the entire poll results here. Be the first to know what's happening in your community and region.
