Description

Press release from the City of Kansas City: April 12, 2022 The City has created a digital database to access all contracts and agreements as officials strive to provide greater access to public records and be even more transparent with how your tax dollars are being spent. The recently-launched web page is an effort to share more about how the City is spending money and with who, and to allow for better coordination and efficiency of information sharing. "We are constantly striving to create a more open and transparent local government operation here in Kansas City," City Manager Brian Platt said. "This tool is one of several ways we are making access to information easier." The mobile-friendly application can be accessed either from a desktop, cell phone or tablet, placing at your fingertips details showing the vendors who are partnering with the City to provide the many goods and services needed to keep Kansas City running smoothly. This will help make the procurement process user-friendly not only for businesses that want to work with the City, but also those residents who want specifics about particular projects. Media can contact Maggie Green, Media Relations Manager, at 816-379-6562. This press release was produced by the City of Kansas City. The views expressed here are the author's own.
