PLUMSTEAD, PA — A K9 dog from the Plumstead Township Police Department tracked down a suspect who'd been driving a stolen car, police said Wednesday.
The suspect had crashed the car on Tuesday, fleeing on foot into a large field on a commercial property, according to police chief Karl Knott's report.
He said the field was covered in thick brush with thorns and mud.
That's where officer Greg Kutys and his K9 dog Odie came in, called to assist while officers set a perimeter.
After a long search, K9 Odie found the suspect bedded down in the brush, police said. Officers were then able to arrest the man.
Odie graduated patrol training around a year-and-a-half ago.
"Congratulations!" Knott wrote.
