HAMDEN, CT — The Hamden girls' basketball team won its second straight Southern Connecticut Conference championship with a 40-36 victory over East Haven Wednesday night in Branford. Hamden also beat East Haven last year to claim the program's first-ever SCC title.
Aysa Brandon earned SCC Tournament MVP honors and led the seventh-seeded Green Dragons with 13 points, according to GameTimeCT.com. Diamond White added 12 points and Rebecca Oberman-Levine was a dominant force for Hamden, grabbing 18 rebounds and blocking 11 shots while scoring seven points.
