Jeff Kopaska, Biometrician (Fisheries) at Iowa Dept. of Natural Resources and President of the Iowa Chapter of the American Fisheries Society will talk about the relationship of Iowa's nutrient reduction strategies on Hypoxia in the Gulf of Mexico in his talk "Gulf Hypoxia and Nutrient Reduction Strategies - Is There Anything Fishy Going On In Iowa?" Jeff brings boots on the ground knowledge to the topic with his extensive research into improving Iowa water resources including fisheries, natural lakes, reservoirs, small impoundments, interior streams and the Mississippi River. Admission to the program at 6:45 p.m. is FREE and open to the public! Doors open at 5:30, with an open bar, and Dinner is available with service beginning at 6.
