Seeking an energetic and reliable day porter to perform day-to-day building maintenance duties at various commercial facilities across the metro area. The ideal candidate will be a trustworthy self starter, capable of working independently. The successful candidate will be organized, dedicated, and able to handle a variety of duties simultaneously. You will work with management to create an effective cleaning schedule, which will include your day-to-day routines. Preferred hours are early morning to early afternoon, but this is somewhat negotiable. This position has the potential to work into an operations manager position. Typical hours are 40 per week. Some weekends hours are needed. $16+ per hour to start. Opportunity for much more for the right person. Responsibilities: * Drive company vehicle to sites on a daily basis, primarily shopping centers. * Monitor all exterior common areas for items needing attention. * Complete minor repairs and maintenance tasks, including but not limited to cleaning, painting, pressure washing, minor pavement repairs, bulk item disposal, small tree limb cut and removal etc. * Order supplies required for facility maintenance. * Coordinate sub contractors and outside vendors. * Interact with clients in a friendly, positive, and professional manner. * Emptying out exterior waste baskets and replacing with new liners * Using a gas powered blower on sidewalks, curbs, and common areas to keep free of debris * Pick up loose trash from the parking lot and sidewalks * Pick up loose trash from plant beds, parking islands, and other common areas within the property boundary * Clean up around dumpster and compactor areas * Window cleaning and window frame cleaning * Dusting under canopies, cob web and bug removal Requirements: * High school diploma or relevant qualification required. * Ability to work a flexible schedule including some nights and weekends. * Must be reliable, professional, and able to consistently show up to work full time. * Prepared to execute all duties and responsibilities in a safe and timely manner. * Valid Drivers License with reasonably clean record.
