We are fostering this sweet boy for the Ft Leavenworth Stray Facility and he is AMAZING!! He is an INCREDIBLE family dog. Romeo is a 1 year old neutered lab mix. He’s very smart and mastering all the tricks and obedience lessons we are giving him. Sit, stay, down, come, kennel, wait to enter/exit, wait for food, shake… He is the absolute best with our toddler, as well as our 5, 8, and 10 year olds. He has great child awareness and is gentle and aware of his movements so he doesn’t bonk the toddler over. He loves when the kids play around and on him so he can be involved, and is endlessly patient with kids hugging, jumping over, grabbing, or chasing him, and is careful with his mouth. He goes on runs with my husband, walks very well on the leash with the kids and myself, plays happily and energetically outside, and snuggles. He loves to sit or lay by you and often rests his head or paws on your lap or feet. He never barks, not at the doorbell, other dogs, other animals, loud noises. He is very social and gets along very well with other dogs and people. If you have been considering a family dog, please consider Romeo. He really is the absolute best, has no bad habits, is extremely well mannered, and mastering all his training. **May require a visitors pass to access post in order to adopt, as he is a ward of the Ft Leavenworth Stay Facility.
