After all the first thing communist people do when they try to take control, is censor the media. Obviously for a Trump supporter, being exposed to the truth, is the same as exposing a vampire to garlic. Anyone that is not drunk off the Red (Commie) Kool Aid knew by December 2020 that Trump lost the election fair and square. Unfortunately, I know for a fact that when Obama got elected, a lot of older white people hated that, started only watching right wing (propaganda) news outlets. And it has only gotten worse since with wacko conspiracy web sites. We all remember Pizza Gate? Some guy was stupid enough to believe all the lies he heard and read on the internet were true about cabal democrats. So he got his rifle and went to Washington D.C. to save the kidnapped children that were being raped and murdered in the basement of a pizza restaurant. The problem was when he got there he found out that store did not even have a basement. So for some reason he fired a shot through the door of a storage room and demanded an employee open it. He was expecting the children he was going to save to be there, instead all he saw was supplies that any pizza place would have. It became clear in mid 2020 that a lot of republican Trump supporters believed all the lies they were fed. There was a news crew that went to the Trump rallies and interviewed people going in. They just asked the people basic non leading questions about why they supported Trump, and several of them mentioned the evil democrat cabal people and insisted Trump would finally put all those elite democrat pedophiles in prison. OMG, you just can't make that stuff up. I remember in May of 2020 when Gov Kemp announced he had worked with our SOS and state reps to expand absentee voting to anyone that wanted to use it. In spite of all the lies and misinformation we got from the White House in 2020 about the pandemic, Kemp knew a lot of older republicans were concerned about it, and did not want to go to a crowded precinct to vote. What Kemp did not count on was a few weeks later Trump would tell his supporters "do not vote by mail, it will be full of fraud!" A lot of his supporters believed him, and at least 11,780 of them did not vote by mail like they wanted to, because Trump told them not to, but they did not vote in person either because of the pandemic. Since 2006 Ga has required a valid State issued ID to register to vote, and that ID has to be shown and scanned at the precinct before someone votes. But what a lot of Trump supporters do not understand because they only watch Fox Entertainment News, is in order to request an absentee ballot, they have to type in their ID information and number. Once the absentee ballot is mailed, if a person decided to go vote in person, when their ID was scanned, it would show they had an outstanding absentee ballot, so they had 3 choices. Vote right then via a provisional ballot, surrender the absentee ballot and then vote regular, or just go home and use the absentee ballot. I know that system was secure because I had several older neighbors that got an absentee ballot, but then decided to go early vote in person because we have a early voting precinct a half mile from here, and the line was short. When their ID was scanned the computer showed they had the outstanding absentee ballot, so they were given 2 choices, vote by provisional ballot, or go home and get their absentee ballot and bring it back. They all went home and got their absentee ballot, and gave it to the poll worker that scanned it out of the system so it could never be used, and then they voted. Everything Trump said about the election being stolen from him in Ga. was quickly proven to be all lies, but yet even though all the information proves that, his supporters still believe him. Every single Trump supporter I have talked to, which is 7 people, admit they have not listened to Trumps January 2, 2021 phone call to our SOS, or read Raffensperger's 10 page letter to Congress proving everything Trump said in that call is a lie. On January 6, 2021 at Trumps "stop the steal" rally as I watched his speech on TV, I thought to myself, "oh no, this is not going to end well!" What bothers me the most about the siege the Trump supporters committed against our nations Capitol Building was only 1 shot was fired! That police officer that fired the first and only shot confuses me. I believe he should have emptied his guns magazine shooting through the window the insurrectionist were breeching, and while he was reloading to continue shooting, at least another 40 police inside the building should have started shooting more insurrectionist until they ran out of ammunition! But they did not. By 1PM that day, there should have been dozens of Trump supporting insurrectionist laying dead all over the area and hundreds more at least wounded. Then they should have been rounded up, given a quick trial for treason and hung! But they were not. What we saw on January 6, 2021 was the worst thing that has ever happened to our country. In our first 230 years of history we have always had a peaceful transition of power, and that was the main thing so many other countries respected in us. Trump destroyed that in 4 hours with his last ditch effort to have Mike Pence murdered, and Putin was watching. I can guarantee you that just like we now know Trump was sitting in the White House watching his insurrectionist siege the Capitol Building, and gloating over it, Putin was sitting in his living room in Moscow watching it via satellite TV, and gloating over it. It drives me nuts that the people who have been arrested and tried for what they did on January 6, 2021 are barely getting a slap on the wrist. I believe anyone identified as having entered the Capitol Building that day should get at least 5 years in federal prison. Anyone identified as having confronted a police officer should get 10 years in prison. And any one identified as having said the words "hang Mike Pence" should get 20 years in prison. Of course, this is just my opinion as an American that loves my country and does not want to see a mentally unstable nut case like Trump destroy our country. I realize many of you disagree with me, because you hate our constitution starting with you will flag my post because you believe the first Amendment should only apply to speech you want to hear and agree with.
