BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — More than half of the voters in Baltimore County who cast their ballots favored former Vice President Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential election, according to preliminary results from the Maryland State Board of Elections. Biden received 58.5 percent of the votes in Baltimore County, while 39.2 percent went to President Donald Trump. There was slightly more support for Biden across the state of Maryland, where 63.3 percent voted for Biden (D) and 34.3 percent favored Trump (R), based on unofficial results as of Monday morning. Biden on Saturday declared victory Saturday after he crossed the winning threshold of 270 Electoral College votes with a win in Pennsylvania, according to the Associated Press. Mail-in ballots will continue to be processed until Nov. 13 in Maryland, after which point results will be made official. In Baltimore County, some mail-in votes have been tabulated, while 42 of 42 voting centers had reported Election Day results, according to the Maryland State Board of Elections. In the meantime, here are the preliminary results: Congress: Ruppersberger, Sarbanes, Mfume The projected winners of Maryland's congressional races were all incumbents, according to the Associated Press, including those who represent parts of Baltimore County: Andy Harris (R), C.A. Dutch Ruppersberger (D), John Sarbanes (D) and Kweisi Mfume (D).
