Please beware the misleading advertisement of "about $24 per hour". You must read the fine print, this is only for the time carrying an order from point A to point B. This does not include waiting time or traveling to the pickup location. The current average observed offer is currently about $3.50. Drivers who know the area well will be able to complete about 5 of these per hour if there is no waiting at restaurants. This brings your gross earnings to $17.50 per hour. Now you have to subtract your expenses - fuel, increased insurance cost, wear and tear on your car, taxes, etc. This is usually about $7.50 per hour if you are good at tracking expenses and maximizing write offs. This means a more accurate income statement would be "Doordash Drivers in Corvallis make about $10 per hour if they are good, lucky, and know how to work the system!" Don't be fooled by predatory "employers".
