We are a biodynamic regenerative agriculture company that is turning a beautiful event center in Eagle, ID into a full circle regenerative dynamic estate farm. We are doing some big new developments and are looking for the right people who are motivated and eager to learn to add to the team. We are looking for team players that are hard working and hands on that can evolve with the company as we grow and build into new and exciting endeavors. This is an exciting time as we build out our systems and turn a traditionally cared for 100 year old farm property into a working full circle biodynamic regenerative farming and estate grown farm-to-table restaurant experience. We will be growing row crops, melons, berries, rejuvenating old fruit trees, and cleaning up grapes and planting lots of new plants. It’s work, but it is very rewarding when you get to see it all come together. We are looking for people who are willing to do anything that may come up, people who are not shy to get in and get dirty. We need someone with a positive attitude, that wants to be a part of a team. Tasks vary daily (and hourly) depending on the project, time of year, and task at hand so they are always subject to change: Plant care Planting/Transplanting Hand tools Weeding Shoveling Raking Composting/vermi-composting Drip line build and maintenance Seeding cover crops Terminating cover crops Earthwork Building and carpentry Growing microbial ferments Culturing endogenous microorganisms Integrated pest management Fermenting grains Lactobacillus cultures Fermented plant juices Planting fruit trees Cloning and grafting Growing mushrooms Farmers markets It is important to remember that this is still a farming position and has its grit, and a fatigue bearing effort. It’s relatable to getting paid to work outside in a gym. Some days will be labor intensive and less than enjoyable, but it’s important to remember that everything is momentary. Some days will be hard and some days will be fun and easy. No work no glory. *There might be some heavy lifting, but definitely lots of bending, stooping, and being in the dirt, sometimes wet and muddy.* Must be able to work around allergens (bees, pollen, grasses, etc.) equipment, animals, and other natural elements such as the sun, heat and the cold. We do our best to avoid doing too much in inclement weather, but sometimes it is unavoidable. There is an ever growing list of things to accomplish so we need people who want to show up and put in the effort day in and day out. We are very caring and understanding but at the end of the day if you don’t show up you don’t work. We don’t have high tolerance for no shows and deliberate lack of communication. We are understanding, but we also fully believe it is up to the individual to make the choice. We will make sure you are happy and taken care of, if you show up and do your best. That is the opportunity we all have as something we choose. Life happens, and will inevitably throw curveballs, so long as we are communicating we are always on the same team. Pay will be based on experience —Understanding that as an apprentice you will be started off at a lower wage with room for advancement and reviews. Especially as we grow and develop more job roles. Some experience, or no experience we are willing to train the right candidate All employees will start out on a 90 day probationary period and will be subject to a review after this period. All employees are at will, and will be subject to termination upon our three strike policy. We believe this policy keeps people honest and is fair to other employees who show up daily and are forced to take on a heavier workload when others don’t show up or put in effort.
