TOWSON, MD — Authorities say they have found the man who escaped from the Baltimore County Detention Center Saturday night.
Kyle Rogowski, 25, is back in custody, the Baltimore County Police Department reported before 10:30 a.m. Sunday.
Police said he assaulted a correctional officer at the detention center then scaled a barbed-wire fence before 6:45 p.m. and was last seen on York Road. Police said he may have a visible hand injury from the fence.
Rogowski was wearing a green jumpsuit and white head covering, according to authorities. Officials said he may be wearing one shoe. He was described as 6 feet, 1 inch tall and 170 pounds with two teardrop tattoos under his right eye.
Police said Rogowski had been at the Baltimore County Detention Center since March on a nonviolent charge.
Court records show he has been held without bail on burglary, theft and malicious destruction of property charges pending trial that was slated to start Thursday but was postponed until February 2021. Rogowski's permanent address is listed as the 300 block of East Wilson Boulevard in Hagerstown.
