We were told it would be impossible, but 621 days in, we've been able to do the impossible thanks to you! Animals keep coming in though. 217 new animals have entered the shelter since April 1 and this old building was built to be a dog pound in the 1960s, not a modern lifesaving facility in 2022. Fostering provides a temporary home to an animal in need for a few days, weeks, or until they find their home. We provide supplies, medical care, support, and will work with your schedule. We have fosters who can do long-term, fosters who travel for work and can only do two weeks here and there, and even just slumber party weekends! If only 1% of Hamilton County residents opened their homes to foster an animal in need, no dog or cat would ever have to sit in the shelter. Sounds wild, right?! But it's true!
