She has volunteered as a juvenile court monitor for children in foster care and with parenting programs. Krista is currently a facilitator for a family reading program. In 2008 Krista inherited the helm of a technology company. She enjoys playing the oboe in a local orchestra. Submit to [email protected] The Stearns J. Bryant, Jr. Award -for students in grades 6-8 Stearns J. Bryant, Jr. has been a member of The Children's Center's Board of Directors for 29 years. He has been licensed to practice law since 1968 and practices in the areas of probate and estate planning. Stearn's philanthropic giving in the Greater New Haven area supports a variety of nonprofit organizations. Submit to [email protected] The Essential Employee Award -for students in grades 3-5 The Essential Employees at The Children's Center of Hamden include Direct Care Workers, Nurses, Teachers, Therapists, Maintenance Workers, Janitors, Dietary Staff and more! This award recognizes their dedication, teamwork and compassionate regard for others. Submit an 8.5" X 11" colored drawing of an essential employee and a paragraph (separate paper) that describes the drawing. Mail to EE Award, 1400 Whitney Ave, Hamden CT 06517.
