Description
I'm looking to partner with a singer/guitarist with gigging experience for a lounge/brew pub/ coffee shop-type duo/trio/quartet. Lead vocal, good backup guitar abilities a must. I am a singer guitarist with many years of pro/semi-pro playing. Material will be varied, but with emphasis on stuff like Peter and Gordon, Everly Brothers, EARLY Beatles, British Invasion and other folk/rock music. Not interested in what passes for country today.....an old Hank Williams or Johnny Cash song or two is possible. This will be a plugged in but lower volume project. I'm currently playing a solid-body nylon string guitar, for a "different" sound. I sing lead, but want someone to share those duties and harmonize. I'd like someone, male or female, who can be a good "front" person. We might also add an upright bassist and/or Cajon player for percussion.....not looking for a full drum kit. Again.....I respect and encourage "bedroom" players, but playing out is a different thing.....experience really shows. If you think you qualify, (and are interested in the concept) send a reply with particulars. I'm located on the west side of Ft Worth, and prefer people who don't have to drive a long way for rehearsals. (for everyone's convenience) Thanks for your consideration.
