Description

The recovery technician will work directly under the supervision of the Lead Technician to clean up debris, hazardous, and biohazardous materials. In addition, the technician will collect personal and abandoned items from homeless camps. It is imperative that the recovery technician be able to lift at least 50 lbs. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly expected to hear and be aware of their surroundings. In this position, the employee is required to perform heavy manual labor, move objects, and perform repetitive motions over an extended period of time. In addition to standing, walking, squatting, stooping, and using their hands to grasp, handle, and feel objects, they are frequently required to reach with their arms and hands. The physical demands described here are representative of those required for an employee to be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. No experience is required, on-the-job training will be provided. Work will begin at the main facility, and from there, the lead technician will drive the teams to and from the Warehouse to the job sites. Attendance is a crucial component of this position. QUALIFICATIONS • Cleaning/Janitorial Experience (preferred) • Ability to work as a team (required) • Integrity and ability to work independently • Follow all safety and personnel rules, policies, and regulations (required) • Ability to bend, stoop, stand, walk, reach, and climb for extended periods of time • Ability to lift 40 lbs. on a continuous basis and occasionally up to 50/60 lbs. unassisted • Mentally strong and prepared to work with the homeless community.
