Hello, I’ve played in the music scene for along time, bass, guitar, some lead guitar.. but now I’ve decided I can help lead a band with male vocals, I’ve done so many lead songs over the years but at the same time I was always playing an instrument it was hard to play and sing sometimes. So now I’ve decided to take the next step and help sing full time. My back round is 80s rock, country, pop, and I'm a bassist interested in joining or starting a metal band. Something in the realm of doom/groove metal meets black metal with tight grooves and riffs you can sink your teeth into. Nothing crazy fast as I don't have the chops for extreme speed. I don't know a ton about metal but am interested in learning more. I play in some other (not-metal) bands but would make time for a just-for-fun band or project. The stuff I like on the heavier side of music includes: the old school favorites (Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, early Metallica, Megadeth, White Zombie, Death, etc.), the standard Norwegian black metal classic bands (Mayhem, Burzum, Emperor, Darkthrone, etc.), plus Ghost, Bathory, Uada, Agalloch, Orange Goblin, The Sword, Gojira, Dimmu Borgir, Nightwish, Graveyard, In Flames, anything Steve DiGiorgio plays bass in, etc. I'm in my early 40s.
