We are so glad you are here with us. My name is Don Dickey, and I will be your host for this evening’s event. Tonight, we gather with joy to celebrate Jesus, the Messiah, who came to die for sin. But death could not hold Him. Jesus was resurrected from death so all sinners could be saved through faith in Christ. By shedding His blood on the cross, the crucifixion of Christ broke the sinner free from the chains of sin and death and opened up the way for an eternal relationship in peace with God. No longer is man a slave to his strongholds: He has been set free in Christ. Now, some may be asking, “What does saved mean? What about religion? What about going to church? Am I a Christian? What is the Bible? What does being a Christian look like? What does the resurrection of Christ mean for me? And most significantly, “Who is Jesus to you?” Tonight, it is our hope that God will reveal Himself to you in a mighty way and maybe answer some of those questions for you. We pray that if there is a heart that is broken, a soul that needs to be regenerated, or a mind that needs to be renewed, we encourage you to submit yourself to the love of Christ and let Him in your life and set you free, and give you the peace you yearn for. The Christian faith was built on the belief in Jesus. He was born to a woman. He lived. He walked with others. He loved others. He wept. He got hungry, and thirsty, and experienced great sorrow and pain. He was a man of great compassion. He healed the blind, the sick, and so much more. Out of jealousy from his own people, the Jews, Christ was crucified on a tree at Calgary and was later buried in a tomb. But, after three days in the grave, God raised Him from the dead. He was resurrected. Romans 10:9 says, “If you believe in your heart God raised Jesus from the dead and confess with your tongue Jesus is Lord, you will be saved.” Keeping that in mind, joining me tonight are Robert Parker and Yaron Kohen, whom you will get a chance in just a minute to meet. Together, in authenticity, we will be taking you through the night with live music, the sharing of the Gospel message, a table talk conversation, testimonials, stories of faith, and a time of prayer and worship as we close the evening. So, sit back, and be comfortable. Relax. Let this be for you a time of joy—a time of refreshment from your daily lives. Just imagine you are among family and surrounded by those who love you. So, as we begin this evening of celebration, allow your hearts to be open and set your mind at ease. Leave everything going on in your life outside the door for just a while. Allow this time of celebration as a moment of spiritual renewal for yourselves, giving you freedom from the worries and stresses of your life. Allow the Holy Spirit to speak to you. So, if you start to feel a tug in your heart, follow your heart. That will be the Holy Spirit speaking to you. So, as we begin this evening of celebration, let us pray, giving honor and glory with thanksgiving in our hearts to God for his goodness and mercy through Jesus Christ. What a name. There is no sweeter name than the name of Jesus. Let’s pray. SEE YOU THERE
