Learn more about bees and beekeeping during this event at the Mollie Spencer Farm!
This informal Coffee & Conversation event will focus on beekeeping in an urban setting. Susan Turner, Canadian County Master Gardener, and John Leonard, Mollie Spencer Farm Manager, will talk about bee biology, including the different types of honey bees and their roles in the hive. They will then discuss the basics of beekeeping, bee safety, and hive maintenance. We will end with a Q&A session and a guided demonstration of the Mollie Spencer Farm bee hives!
