Join the Street Trust for a 3.65-mile walk, roll, and run to celebrate community and Earth Day weekend! Earth DayCelebrate Earth Day weekend with The Street Trust as we host the first annual “Move for Mother Earth!” The main event is a walk, roll, jog, and run starting along Leif Erickson Trail in Forest Park. If you're unable to join in person, log your 3.65-mile activity on Strava, take a picture, and tag @TheStreetTrust on our socials! Complete the distance (3.65 miles or 5.87 kilometers) and receive a custom fanny pack from The Street Trust. The first 25 registrants will also receive a free ticket to The Big Float. Event Logistics: The event starts and finishes at the junction of Leif Erikson and Wild Cherry trail (near the portapotties), which is a 1/4-mile walk up from the gate at the base of Leif Erikson and NW Thurman. There will be a short briefing and introduction starting at 10:00 a.m. This event is an out-and-back course. You will start from the point mentioned above, and continue along Leif Erickson Trail until you reach the turnaround point (approximately 1.82 miles in) after that you will head back towards the finish line and celebrate your success! This is a self-timed event so make sure you bring your own watch! Following the event, we will walk, roll, and shuffle down Thurman street to meet at Great Notion Brewing for a social hour! Getting to the starting line: The Street Trust advocates for multimodal transportation options that prioritize safety, accessibility, equity, and climate justice in the Portland Metro Region. As such, we encourage you to get to the starting line in some way other than a drive-alone car trip.
