Upcycle Jeans to a Skirt - Beginner/Intermediate -learn to Refashion jeans to an adorable skirt..short or maxi. Hi I am Aunt B (Vernita) thank you for coming. I recently retired after 45 years in the corporate world and I am ready for my Second Act I have been blessed to do something I enjoy, thanks to my mother. Although, I am self-taught, I continue to take classes to keep learning new things, processes and techniques, it is never too late to learn something new. I want to inspire others to sew, to feel confident , to leave with a smile and be proud of what they have made and enjoy the process. I am looking forward to meeting you at the classes…. They will be fun. Hugs Aunt B UPCYCLE /REFASHION JEANS to a SKIRT Materials Needed 2 to 3 pairs of Old Jeans (make sure the jeans fit) OPTIONAL(for Maxi) 1/2 YARD COTTON FABRIC Basic Sewing Kit (BSK) Measuring tape , sewing gauge, seam ripper, pins, marking pen/chalk, tracing wheel, tracing paper. I will be instructing how to transform your jeans to a skirt…but please be as creative as you would like to be…I will have some art supplies for stenciling..bleach pins for drawing and some emblessments (lace, buttons,trim..)You are welcome to bring what you have as well…. This is a fun class for young girls as well…. Attached are some pictures for inspiration. The materials listed above are required for class. The Basic Sewing Kit (BSK) can be purchased when you register for class. ..I have Brother Sewing Machines, but they are limited.
