As a Lead Fleet Technician at United Rentals, you are responsible for communicating instructions to the outside team as directed by the Branch & Fleet Manager. You will also diagnose and repair Mobile Storage units on customer job-sites while demonstrating the customer service skills necessary to build and maintain customer satisfaction. Like every member of our team, we will rely on you to provide exceptional customer service to our customers.
Duties include the following:
• Lead the branch operations team while also working closely with the Branch & Fleet Manager
• Coordinate & communicate daily work orders to outside team
• Perform hands on activities with respect to fleet maintenance, cleaning, and repairs
• Ensure inbound and outbound inspections are completed, including inspection of interior, exterior, plumbing, electrical and HVAC
• Assist with inventory tracking movement
• Create safe work environment
• Other duties assigned as needed
Job Requirements:
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• General Construction knowledge and background
• Knowledge of repairing, removing and installing floors, tile, roofs, walls, framing, doors, leaks, caulking, windows, screens, painting, electrical, plumbing, filters/dampers, replacing skin, trim
• Familiarity with hooking mobile office to power source
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record, CDL a plus
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
40 hr. work week M-F.
