Meet at 8:00am at the parking lot in front of AMC Theater, at Barranca & Lake in Irvine • Leave parking lot at 8:30am, bike across the parking lot, ride northwest along San Diego Creek Trail towards Newport Back Bay, cross over to the east side of San Diego Creek onto Mountains to the Sea Trail & Bikeway, stop for a water break at the trail with the view of the San Joaquin Marsh for a short presentation about the marsh, then continue south until SR-73 overcrossing and head toward Jamboree Rd. Continue south on Jamboree Rd and turn right on Bayview Trail toward west. Stop at Peter and Mary Muth Interpretive Center for water break and short presentation about the Back Bay Restoration project. • Head back toward start point along the same trail. • Gather for drinks and food at the beautiful outdoor plaza of Woodbridge Shopping Center (optional) • Out and back, round trip roughly 15 miles, mostly flat. • This will be a slow-paced ride suitable for all abilities and nobody will be left behind!
