Learn to water marble a silk scarf and design an Ikebana floral arrangement all while sipping champagne and enjoying tasty treats from a scrumptious charcuterie board!! No Experience Required!! WHAT YOU WILL DO: Water Marbling on Silk, taught by Patty Middlebrooks artist and owner of Color Play Studio. Never Water Marbled? No worries! Patty will teach you everything you need to know about this easy & outrageously fun art form. NO experience needed! With this experience you'll explore the magical art of water marbling on silk You will design & create a silk scarf, table runner or tapestry. You'll choose your favorite colors and marble design from our sample gallery and I will take you step by step through the water marbling process. I'll coach and cheer you on every step of the way until your masterpiece is complete. By the end of class, you will have a gorgeous work of art that can be used as a neck scarf, wall hanging, window covering, table runner, bed sash, beach cover up, belt, head scarf, halter top… Ikebana Japanese Floral Arranging, taught byValeria Brinker Ikebana professor and owner of Ikebana Lessons. Valeria will thoughtfully gather a variety of beautiful fresh flowers for you to choose from when designing and creating your Sangetsu style Ikebana arrangement. Sangetsu style Ikebana is a simple, elegant and extraordinary Japanese method of arrange flowers to reveal their individual beauty, as nature intended. The arrangement will be created from a place of peace and love and the flowers will be arranged in energetic and physical harmony - sure to spark joy and put a smile on your face. Your arrangement will be built in a charming ceramic container that you will take home and enjoy long after the flower are just a beautiful memory. CHARMING & INSPIRING 1907 CALI BEACH COTTAGE IN A BEAUTIFUL REDONDO BEACH NEIGHBORHOOD: Location, Location, Location! We are located just south of Los Angeles in the South Bay’s “Beach Cities”, Redondo, Hermosa and Manhattan Beach. The studio is just 3 blocks from the ocean and King Harbor Marina… ahhhh! You may even hear the sea lions barking! You could make a day of it for Mother's Day! So many things to do and see all within walking distance… enjoy a walk to the beach, rent a bike and cruise on the strand, shop and dine in Rivera Village, SUP & kayaking rentals, Redondo Beach Pier, Captain Kidd’s Seafood, happy hour at the Shade, I could go on and on… IMPORTANT Because of the small and intimate setting of the studio, all attending this event must have a paid ticket to enter the studio.
