How? 10% of all revenue and 100% of our profits fund the karuna happiness foundation, which empowers women and youth to break the vicious cycles of poverty, abuse and neglect. About the speaker:Arun Sardana has an MBA from the Johns Hopkins University and a Masters in Clinical Psychology and Education degree from the Spirituality Mind Body Institute at Teachers College, Columbia University. A volunteer trip to an orphanage in Costa Rica in 2014 changed the course of Arun’s life and he found his true purpose - to help heal children, youth and their mothers who had endured unspeakable abuse, neglect, abandonment, trafficking and other societal ills for no fault of theirs. After running a highly successful program with about 300 abused children living at the SOS Children’s Villages in Costa Rica, Arun founded karuna (Sanskrit for a selfless desire to remove suffering through compassion), a modern-day Robin Hood social enterprise to spread evidence-based wellbeing in 360 degrees and make the world a happier place. Ten percent of all sales and 100% percent of all profits will be channeled to the Karuna Happiness Foundation, a registered 501(c)3 public charity recently approved by the IRS. The Foundation, in turn, will provide grants to non-profit organizations that are aligned with karuna’s mission to empower children, youth and women; support early childhood education in disadvantaged communities; and fund wellbeing research.
