Ringneck Dove Pair

Description
Due to chronic pain issues, I need to rehome this sweet and gentle pair of ringneck doves. They absolutely must remain together💞. "Luna" is a beautiful piebald ringneck dove and therefore has some soft brown patches throughout her white feathers. She is definitely a female, as she has laid many eggs. "Captain" is a handsome albino ringneck dove, and is POSSIBLY a male. (The only way to be sure is to do a genetic test.) I saw some mating behavior when I first adopted Captain, but NO eggs have ever hatched. (Their sexes do not matter as far as their love for each other. They could both be females. No matter what, they are bonded for life💘.) I've had them both for about 4 to 5 years, but I do not know their actual age. They seemed like young birds when I first got them, but that's only my guess. Doves can live more than 15 years, so they likely have many years ahead of them. I watched a YouTube video of a guy whose dove was 19 years old! Their roomy cage will go with them. It is quite large and comfortable for them (58" tall, 30" deep, 40" wide) but they also NEED to get out to explore around the house. They really enjoy time out of their cage. It's important for them to be able to fly around and stretch out their wings. They also like walking on the floor, looking for bits of food to peck at. I will often put out a variety of foods on a tray for them to pick through. Bath time is also one of their favorite things! I put out a shallow container of warm water about 3 inches deep. They like to splash around in it, and then they lift & extend each wing, one at a time. They are not "hand-tame" but are quite comfortable and gentle around people. They are very easy-going, and not upset by normal household activities and noises. I don't care about getting any money for them. I put a small fee in the CL ad to discourage animal hoarders looking for "free" animals. If you're interested in meeting "Luna" & "Captain", please email me your cell number so we can communicate via text. Thank you, Kelly
