The philosophy is simple – gather 100+ women, donate $100 and the money goes to a local charity. What does a meeting look like? We adhere to a strict (1) hour timeframe for all of our meetings. We structure the meeting to have presentations from each of the three selected charities. Each charity is introduced by the nominating member and are given a timeblock of (15) minutes to explain to our members why they need our collective donation, what it will be used for and how many individuals will be served by the donation. As well as answer any questions that the group may have. After all the presentation, our group votes, the winner is announced and the meeting is adjourned until the next quarterly meeting. How are charities nominated? Once you become a member you may nominate a charitable organizations. Members fill out nominating forms and send them to our board member who oversees and tracks the nomination and vets the charity. How is the grand prize winner selected? All members in good standing who attend the in person (or on zoom) meetings are allowed to vote. Those in attendance listen to all the presentations of each of the nominated charities and then a vote is taken by secret ballot. The charity receiving the largest number of votes receives the $10,000+ collective donation. Both of the runners-up receive $1,000 each as well.
