CORRECTION: A previous version of this story had an incorrect number of confirmed cases. GROTON, CT — The state Department of Public Health for the first time has released the number of deaths for each town in Connecticut and Groton is reporting 8 deaths as a result of the new coronavirus. Groton is reporting 66 laboratory confirmed cases as well. More than 2,000 people across the state have died and there have been just under 26,000 confirmed cases of the virus in Connecticut.
