Keynote Speakers: Dr. Fatima Muñoz from San Ysidro Health Dr. Beatriz Villarreal from Mano a Mano Foundation San Diego County, as the rest of the country, has been greatly impacted by the COVID19 pandemic. Vulnerable communities are disconnected and disengaged. Promotores/ Community Health Workers (CHWs) are a vital part of connecting communities to needs services and resources. Communities are a core aim of the San Diego County Promotores Coalition. Strong communities are those with the expertise and knowledge to access health services and resources, creating a community conducive to health and wellness. Promotores/CHWs can reach individuals where they are culturally competent to overcome barriers preventing communities from reaching their full health potential. This year’s conference focuses on the need for strong communities and recognizes that Together, we are Stronger!
