Within this Introduction to Coffee Origins course, you will have the opportunity to experience single-origin coffees from Colombia, Brazil, Mexico, Papua New Guinea, and Sumatra. In a compare and contrast format, you will be guided on how to assess coffees and be able to tell the difference between flavor notes of coffees from various coffee-growing regions. And how those various coffee growing regions may be used to formulate coffee blends to suit specific flavor profiles. This class will challenge you to taste past the natural bitterness of coffee to point out flavor notes that are naturally present in specialty coffee. Co-op pastries will be included.
