"The closest comedy can come to Black Metal. I mean that as a compliment." -KYLE KINANE
Winslow Dumaine is a comedian, illustrator, writer, and creator living in Chicago.
As a comedian, Winslow weaves frantic, punchline-dense sets with intense storytelling, presenting a grim but invigorating and poetic take on the frustrations life, death, and the world at large.
He's opened for Kyle Kinane who once described Winslow's comedy as, "The closest comedy can come to Black Metal. I mean that as a compliment.",
He has also opened for Sam Tallent, and Dave Ross, appeared on Beast Village Comedy Festival, Des Comédie Festival, The Omaha Comedy Fest, Savage Henry, and he was curated to perform on Altercation Comedy Festival. He headlined The Human Extinction Comedy Tour in 2021 and is co-headlining The Kind and Reasonable Men tour with MC Leitsy in this year.
As a visual artist and writer, Dumaine's work revolves around pain, grief, trauma, and recovery. The goal is to convey the inspiring grandeur of suffering in situ by focusing on individual microcosms of lived experience.
In 2017, he completed the illustrations for The Tarot Restless, a complete overhaul of the classic tarot deck set in a morbid fantasy universe. He also wrote Restless Meditations, a book of interpretations and short stories that accompanies the deck. In 2021, He released a third iteration of the deck with a fully re-imagined book and 30+ new cards.
We can think of no better way to celebrate Easter Sunday then with the Anti-Christ of comedy himself!
