Description

Chef Anthony Myint discusses Zero Foodprint, a nonprofit organization mobilizing the food world around agricultural climate solutions. Celebrate Earth Day at Santa Rosa Junior College's beautiful Shone Farm! Anthony Myint, restaurateur, chef, activist, and Executive Director of Zero Foodprint (ZFP), will be explaining what ZFP is and why it's important. There will also be a short tour of the farm, highlighting a few of its regenerative agriculture practices funded by ZFP such as hedgerows and compost. The discussion and tour will last from about 4 - 5 PM. For those who wish to stay after and continue the discussion, we will be enjoying SRJC Shone Farm wine (21 and over) and catered food from Lunchette in Petaluma. The event will conclude around 6 PM. Anthony Myint is the Executive Director of Zero Foodprint, a non-profit that was named 2020 James Beard Humanitarian of the Year and leads collaborations with CA and CO state agencies and regional governments in Sonoma County and Boulder and Denver, CO to scale regenerative agriculture. Anthony is also well known in the restaurant industry as the Co-Founder of Mission Street Food (SF Chronicle's Most Influential Restaurant of the Past Decade", Mission Chinese Food (NYTimes Restaurant of the Year - 2012), The Perennial (Bon Appetit's "Most Sustainable Restaurant in the Country") and Commonwealth (michelin star).
