SILVER SPRING, MD — A majority of Montgomery College classes will remain online for the fall semester, the institution announced Wednesday.
"The health and safety of our community must be our highest priority," said Montgomery College President DeRionne Pollard. "As we demonstrated in the spring, it is possible to reduce the spread of the virus while continuing to propel students to academic and personal success."
While most fall semester courses will be held remotely, academic officials say they are working to host a small number of in-person classes for a limited number of students. Those in-person learning experiences — all health sciences, lab classes, and a small number of workforce development areas — must adhere to health protocols.
In-person classes can be found on Montgomery College's "Coronavirus: What You Need to Know" page.
