Description

The build out pros will be discussing temperature & relative humidity, pest control, tools for success and your ideal hydroponicsgrow room! Gardening Indoors comes with the advantage of being able to control the variables to achieve optimal growing conditions for our plants. Last month we had Dazor talk about the grow lights and Grow Mo Organics came through with the organic fertilizers to help keep our plants fed. For the month of April we are hosting Build 4 Twenty to discuss relative humidity and temperature. These are two variables that help calculate Vapor Pressure Deficit, or VPD. VPD, is the difference (deficit) between the amount of moisture in the air and how much moisture the air can hold when it is saturated. The amount of VPD affects the stomata opening, CO2 uptake, transpiration rates, nutrient intake at the roots, and plant stress. As Aaron Ruff of Dazor Lights puts it, “When an indoor grow is tuned to the optimal VPD (Vapor Pressure Deficit), the plants undergo less stress and can uptake more nutrients, as subsequently the Water Use Efficiency increases while maximizing the photosynthetic rate.” This discussion will help indoor growers gain more insight to crafting quality flower. Join us on with your VPD questions on Saturday, April 30th from 12pm to 2PM at 314 Garden Supply. This event is free. Please contact 314 Garden Supply at (314) 942-1149 for questions prior to the discussion.
