PATCHOGUE, NY — Roast Cofee & Tea Trading Company has been a staple of Patchogue Village's downtown for a decade, but the owners of the coffee micro-roaster say the store will shutter by the end of April.
"It's been a blast. After over 10 years Roast will be winding down operations by the end of April. Thank you to all of our loyal customers, friends and family over the past decade," the store announced on social media last week.
Roast, 41 E. Main St., will operate on a reduced schedule and is offering a 40 percent close-out sale of all merchandise.
No reason for the store's closing was given. Many commenters on Facebook lamented the shop's announcement, reflecting on the space's welcoming atmosphere along with the coffee.
