Man Found Dead In Aspen Hill Creek Has Been Identified

SILVER SPRING, MD — Authorities have identified the man whose body was found in a creek along Matthew Henson Trail earlier this week. The man has been identified as Lawrence Wilson, 52, of an unconfirmed address. His body was found near Georgia and Hewitt avenues shortly before 12 p.m. on Tuesday, officials said. His remains were taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) in Baltimore for an autopsy. The results of the autopsy are pending, but no foul play is suspected in his death, according to officials. The investigation is ongoing.
