STAMFORD, CT — A man who police said stabbed a woman and held her against her will in her Stamford apartment last month turned himself in to authorities early Tuesday morning. Quentin Lewis, 28, of Bronx, N.Y., was arrested on a warrant that charged him with second-degree assault, second-degree threatening, unlawful restraint and disorderly conduct. The warrant came with a $75,000 bond, but the court raised it to $100,000 on Tuesday, according to Capt. Richard Conklin of the Stamford Police Department. Conklin said on March 19 around 5:30 a.m. in the area of Broad Street and Greyrock Place in Stamford, Connecticut State Troopers found a woman who was bleeding heavily from her head. The SPD responded, and the woman told officers she had been held against her will in her apartment in the early morning hours and stabbed by her boyfriend, who was later identified as Lewis, Conklin said, noting that the woman was held in her apartment "for a while." Police went to the apartment and found a bloody knife, but Lewis had left the area, Conklin said. Officers then established an arrest warrant for Lewis, who has a lengthy criminal record out of New York City, according to Conklin. Conklin said Lewis turned himself in to the SPD around 3 a.m. Tuesday.
