MIDDLETOWN, CT — The Whey Station's food truck and trailer are beyond repair after they caught fire overnight Tuesday, the restaurant said.
Firefighters were dispatched to 180 Johnson St. just after midnight Tuesday for what was initially reported to be a structure fire, Middletown Professional Firefighters Local 1073 said on Facebook.
There, they found the restaurant's truck and trailer "engulfed in flames," The Whey Station said on Facebook.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames and no one was injured. The building itself was only slightly affected, with damage contained to its exterior, firefighters said.
"They worked fast to put out the flames and appreciate their hard work but unfortunately it was too late and both are beyond repair," restaurant staff wrote on Facebook. "Not sure about the coming days but The Whey Station will be back at it will only be a matter of time."
The Fire Marshal's Office is currently investigating the fire.
