MANCHESTER, CT — A Manchester man remained in custody Wednesday on a $250,000 bond after being charged Monday in a shots-fired incident by local police. He appeared in court Tuesday. At 8:12 p.m. Monday, Manchester police received a report about a disturbance that seemed to involve a gunshot in the area of North Fairfield Street, according to an incident report. Multiple witnesses told police that an altercation took place involving a man who brandished a gun and then fired a single shot into the air, according to an incident report. The suspect was subsequently identified as 28-year-old Gustin Douglas of Manchester, police said. Witnesses told police Douglas fled the scene in a gray or silver sedan, believed to be an Infiniti and he was located a short time later. Douglas was taken into custody without incident and the gun was not located at the time of the arrest, according to an incident report.
