hooting in North Spokane leaves one male deceased
On 04/12/2022 just before 0130 hours 911 received multiple callers reporting hearing gunshots in the area of W Maxwell Ave and N Lincoln St.
While officers were enroute to the area where the gunshots were heard, another caller called 911 to report a vehicle collision in the area of W Augusta Ave and N Wall St., where the caller saw a male laying in the street not moving.
When officers arrived they located a male laying on the ground suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Life-saving measures were started by officers until medical personnel arrived and took over care.
Unfortunately, the male was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Further information regarding this incident at this time is limited. The Spokane Police Department asks that if you live in the area and witnessed anything, to call CrimeCheck reference case number 2022-20060539.
N Lincoln St. from W Nora Ave to W Augusta Ave. will be shut down, and W Augusta Ave. will be shut down from N Lincoln St. to N Wall St while this investigation is being conducted.
