Man Shot, Injured In Groton Hookah Lounge Incident

GROTON, CT — Police are investigating following a shooting at the Hookah Lounge early Sunday morning. According to Town of Groton police, a call came in at 4:05 a.m. from a New London police officer at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital's emergency room there on an unrelated incident. The officer said there was a 27-year-old gunshot victim at the hospital and discovered that the shooting had taken place in Groton. Police secured the shooting scene at the Hookah Lounge at 403 Pleasant Valley Road. The victim is stable and currently being treated for injuries that are not life threatening.
